Method
 

  1. Peel the banana and break it into chunks, placing it in the blender jar. If using frozen, no need to thaw.

  6. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides with a spatula. Continue blending until the mixture is thick, smooth, and resembles soft ice cream.
  7. Transfer the thick smoothie into a wide bowl and use a spatula to smooth the top, creating swirls or patterns if desired.
